I'm thinking about going to see Star Trek again.  Yes, that would make four times.  And your point is what, exactly?  After all, even extremely hard-to-please Orson Scott Card loved it!

His words? I wonder if this might not be the best space-adventure movie ever made.

Seriously...just wow...this film is that good.  Sigh...

I have to say that the praise of Homophobic Uncle Scott hasn't meant a whole lot to me since he returned to the Mormon church and repudiated gay marriage. (I met him once back in 1986 or so, and I deeply regretted the onset of his Jackass phase.) But I think the movie's good in spite of his opinion, so have a grand time!

I absolutely 100% agree! If I had had the money, I would have turned right back around and watched it again.

Just got back from seeing it a 3rd time and have every intention of catching it at least once more before it leaves the big screen. I love this movie!

I forgot to tell you - we adopted a dog from the pound today. He's a precious little shih tzu mix. He was dropped off at the pound during his previous owner's cross country trip which I find very sad. We met him yesterday. Fell in love. Then went back this morning to make it official.

We didn't get to bring him home today because he needs to be sterilized tomorrow. We are all very excited. Both the kids cried tears of joy.

We bought a crate for him. The people at the pound said it's a good thing because he will be able to have his own space.
