You won't get this, but you might better understand why you should remedy that situation ASAP!

Fawkes/Codex FTW!

Yes, that's Wil Wheaton and Felicia Day (or their characters Fawkes and Codex, respectively, if you prefer) painted like a romance novel cover. This button was given away at San Diego Comic Con today at the Guild panel. What fun!

Season Three (on the web today!) has Wil Wheaton. In. A. Kilt.

Again, there's Wil Wheaton in a kilt. That is all.

...is at San Diego Comicon right now.

And that includes both Wil Wheaton and Felicia Day.

I've seen tons of pics from SDCC already that fill me with squee, and I've gotten updates galore, but the best news I've heard lies below the cut. It concerns both Mr. Secretary and our lovable Penny, and I promise it's supersecretawesomesaucesquared! No, really. It's pretty damn swa-eet.

Very Mild Spoilers for The Guild Season Three! )

So, many of you know that Kids Need to Read recently auctioned a signed photo of the cast of The Guild. What you might not know is that Felicia Day, with her +350,000 Twitter power, helped KNTR out with that auction. A simple tweet by Codex herself ramped up not only the auction bids, but also sales of signed comics.  And our very own Terrify'n Space Monkeys flew off the shelves!

I blogged about this for Kids Need to Read in order to thank Felicia and the donors of the lovely photo.

And what to my wondering eyes has appeared? But a miniature Felicia and some words so dear!

Click the pic to read the blog and discover one more reason to love Felicia Day:

Anyone out there like The Guild?  (I do!  I do!)  Then check out KNTR's latest auction item!

It's an 8 x 10 pic signed by Codex, Tinkerballa, Bladezz, Vork, Zaboo and Clara themselves!

Check it out!  http://tinyurl.com/dm745u

(Holy crap!  That escalated quickly!  And so far no one has been stabbed with a trident!)

A little bird with feathers of a brownish color attended a small Joss Whedon panel at a New York City Apple Store yesterday and now it's singing.  Apparently, Joss himself has confirmed that both Alan Tudyk and Felicia Day will be appearing in his new show Dollhouse.  This Felicia tidbit brings to mind a post I've meant to make for a while.

If you don't watch The Guild, watch The Guild.

If you're into the internet, geek culture, or (especially) gaming at all, this show will make you LOL or maybe even LYAO or ROTFL.  And the episodes are roughly 6-8 minutes long.  Not much to invest and easy to watch between other things.  (Which is online entertainment's best draw for me.  Sitting down for an hour, or even half an hour, is tough for me.  Besides, Felicia Day is Wil Wheaton's friend, so...yeah.)

Felicia and her supporting cast are outstanding, and much like its superstar little brother Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, The Guild is all about putting the power in different hands.  It's original online television, and it's as independent as it gets.

Take a peek.  If you like what you see, have a seat and stay a while.

So, here we have an article with two of my top three guys covered, and that alone is reason to share, but when you add this bit of lovely from another of my fan loves, well, immediate posting ensues:

"The X-Files was said to be the first Internet show. We had chat rooms and fan sites and all that. Look, I'm usually five or six years behind whatever is hip. So it was around 2000 that I started doing e-mail and finally started understanding what all that was about. ... My initial response — and I still hold this to be true — is that it takes the place of some of the functions of a church in a small town: A place where people come together, ostensibly to worship something. But really what's happening is you’re forming a community. It's less about what you're worshiping and more about, "We have these interests in common." Someone has a sick aunt and suddenly it's about that, raising money to help her or sharing resources to make her life easier. That's what it was about with The X-Files on the Internet."  -David Duchovny

Oh, David.  Problems or not, you really should finish out that thesis, buddy.  You deserve your PhD in literature.  Magic and Technology in Modern Poetry and Prose indeed.  You, my man, get it.  As do the others in this article.  Give it a look, guys.  It'll make you think twice about fandom.  We're not alone, folks.  They're fans, too.
