From this site and passed to me via Twitter. Oh, I do believe I have a new wallpaper. Also, I SO rated this five unicorns.

Ok, so those of us who've seen the new Star Trek film all have our lists of homages that we've noticed, right?  Well, here's one that will knock your socks off with its completeness! Spoilers, obviously. Clickie piccie to visit.

APPLES! (spoilers ahead) )

Ok, not really.  There will probably be more.  But can I just say that in reading comments on Wil's blog and in many other places that I've found out that other people love The Undiscovered Country as much as I do?  And can I share that that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy?

K, thx, bai!

p.s.-I did already know that ST6 was a fan fave (I was involved in a great debate over on startrek.com about the age old 2 vs 6 battle some years ago), but it's still nice to hear that while Khan will always be tops in numbers, those of us who love 6 the best are most definitely not alone.

p.p.s-anyone else happy to see the odds vs evens trend bucked, too? Long live Trek 11!

Well, I've started this post with a Jimmy Buffett quote...

...and I'm going to continue it with one from Mallrats:

Brandi: If you were a comic book character, what character would you be?

Brodie: Wow.  That's a great question.  Tough one, though.  I mean, what does one gauge his response on?  Physical prowess, keen detection skills, the ability to banter well with supervillains...

Pretty much.  For a true brain-teaser, check out Star Trek Smackdown from The Paley Center.  They want to know who should take on Captain James T. Kirk for an ultimate leader showdown.  Several notable sci-fi personages make an appearance.  In this one, they help us out a bit.  They want the best leader, which does guide me along certain lines, but...hm...on this one, a long time must I think.

A Twitter update from Wil Wheaton on Majel Barrett Roddenberry's passing:

"We just left Majel's memorial. It was a perfect reflection of who she was: funny, profane, sentimental, unique, and memorable."

Once again, I say:  Boldly go, Majel, boldly go.

A huge chunk of work from wabbit.  Please check it out, guys.  Three words: MASTER.  FIC.  LIST.

Stargate, Firefly, MacGyver, and even a bit of Trek-but all wabbit, all the time.

As is Nurse Chapel, Dr. Chapel, Lt. M'Ress, and the one and only Lwaxana Troi, Daughter of the Fifth House, Holder of the Sacred Chalice of Rixx, Heir to the Holy Rings of Betazed.

Join me in raising a glass of Saurian brandy to the one and only Majel Barrett Roddenberry, who left this world early this morning.  Boldly go, Majel, boldy go.
