jackwabbitOk, so those of us who've seen the new Star Trek film all have our lists of homages that we've noticed, right? Well, here's one that will knock your socks off with its completeness! Spoilers, obviously. Clickie piccie to visit.
I knew 95% of this, but if you're a Trek virgin or just need a mythology refresher course, this article is a great resource.
My favorite homages:
The apple. So sweet and perfect.

The Orion girl.
The red shirt!
Sulu's fencing.
"I'm givin her all she's got!"
"I'm a doctor, not a physicist!"
Pike's wheelchair was a nice touch.
Something I haven't seen mentioned: When Kirk bashes his head on the shuttle support strut, I'm constantly reminded of ST5, which Scotty does the same right after saying "I know this ship like the back of me hand."
