A few years ago, I saw a movie about dinosaurs. It made me run out of the theater and read a certain book by Michael Crichton. Once I did, I lost all respect for Jurassic Park, the movie.
I just finished reading Watchmen, and the same is not true for this film. Still love it, me thinks. Will have to watch again to be sure, but while there were changes, of course, none of them mattered-at least not to me. Good show, Watchmen folks, good show. Literally.

Just got back from Watchmen. FINALLY got to see it.
HOLY SO INCREDIGOODNESS, BATMAN!
So, read it in December. What they did with the book was as close to a perfect adaptation as you could ever achieve. The casting? HOLY mother-of-PEARL, was it good ('cept Veidt didn't fit as well, but really...Daniel WAAAAAS Daniel!).
And the beginning sequence to fill in the history?
AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME! Anything that can make me like a Dylan song is transcendently bad ass.

Did you read Wil's blog on this movie?
To sum it up: Watchmen is fucking awesome.
Yup, pretty much.
