I love having X Files back so much. It fills me with such joy. It's like an old childhood friend has come back into my life that I never wished to part with.
I have found the bulk of the new episodes only so-so, much like the later seasons, though I do enjoy the nostalgia factor.
I hated the William storyline then and it's no less stupid now. (Though even that was a damn sight better than the Emily storyline - any time Scully has a baby, it just doesn't work for me.)
But the Were-Monster saved this miniseries from being the second movie for me (okay, so not that actively bad, just not good, I suppose), and I'm grateful to it for that and for its last scene, which is my finale if the rest of it is awful.
This week's episode was decent, too, despite the heavy handed William stuff. At least it had a monster. The rest of them have been mediocre.
Edited to change icons, because it's all about Darrin Morgan, bay-bee.
