Better Living Through Chemistry
May. 19th, 2010 10:30 pmThink Geek tweeted this today, and I found it quite amusing, if not quite perfect.
The Periodic Table of Super Powers
Now, being the way I am (I did major in chemistry, you know - and I graduated) and floundering around in a deep end of fandom like I am at the moment, I couldn't resist this.
I postulated this equilibrium: SoScVRcGeWLcG + FSSpFeFfFm < - > SoScVRcGeWLcGFSSpFeFfFm
Which I suppose could be written like this:
Socialite Scientist Vigilante Rich Intelligence Weaponry Luck Gadgetry + Flight Strength Speed MetallicForm ForceFields Toughness <-> Socialite Scientist Vigilante Rich Intelligence Weaponry Luck Gadgetry Flight Strength Speed MetallicForm ForceFields Toughness
Or, written more traditionally, Tony Stark + Mark (your choice, but I like IV) Armor <-> Iron Man
And it is an equilibrium. That's what gets me. That's what makes me giggle. Hee! It's as fun as Na + Cl <-> NaCl! I mean, it's dependent on temperature, external stimuli, and amount of basic ingredients present. Oh! But what's the rate-limiting reagent? Dude. I would say the armor, as obviously that takes time to build and charge, but...no, I don't think that's it. I think it might be a new element. One I'll call C2H6O. Yep. I believe that might be it.
(And yes, Arm Fall Off Boy is a real comic book character. No. Really.

Date: May. 20th, 2010 04:12 pm (UTC)And excellent show on taking comics to work! I wanted to do the same today, but alas, Thursdays are busy for me. (And then there's that blasted "professionalism" thing. *g*)
