Think Geek tweeted this today, and I found it quite amusing, if not quite perfect.

The Periodic Table of Super Powers

Now, being the way I am (I did major in chemistry, you know - and I graduated) and floundering around in a deep end of fandom like I am at the moment, I couldn't resist this.

I postulated this equilibrium: SoScVRcGeWLcG + FSSpFeFfFm < - > SoScVRcGeWLcGFSSpFeFfFm

Which I suppose could be written like this:

Socialite Scientist Vigilante Rich Intelligence Weaponry Luck Gadgetry + Flight Strength Speed MetallicForm ForceFields Toughness <->
Socialite Scientist Vigilante Rich Intelligence Weaponry Luck Gadgetry Flight Strength Speed MetallicForm ForceFields Toughness

Or, written more traditionally, Tony Stark + Mark (your choice, but I like IV) Armor <-> Iron Man

And it is an equilibrium. That's what gets me. That's what makes me giggle. Hee! It's as fun as Na + Cl <-> NaCl! I mean, it's dependent on temperature, external stimuli, and amount of basic ingredients present. Oh! But what's the rate-limiting reagent? Dude. I would say the armor, as obviously that takes time to build and charge, but...no, I don't think that's it. I think it might be a new element. One I'll call C2H6O. Yep. I believe that might be it.

(And yes, Arm Fall Off Boy is a real comic book character. No. Really.

Hee! I do my best! The irony is that a model of C2H6O sits on my desk.

I hate it when that happens, btw. Maybe a comic book would help?

Have you read any of yours yet?

Now you only have to organize a D*C parade group based on this. :)

Great idea! But not for me. I already do too much!

*laughs* I think you broke something in my head. I'm taking the comics to work tonight. *g*

Don't worry. Broken head pieces can be fixed or replaced. *g*

And excellent show on taking comics to work! I wanted to do the same today, but alas, Thursdays are busy for me. (And then there's that blasted "professionalism" thing. *g*)
