Have Gun, Will Travel
Apr. 29th, 2010 01:44 pmSo, today at work, I started singing the theme song from Paladin (and yes, I know the show was called Have Gun, Will Travel, but I always called it Paladin). One of my techs, who is *cough* a bit older than me, looked up and said, "Isn't that before your time?" I replied that yes, it was, but it was still a great song. Now, I'll grant you that I learned it mostly from young Wil Wheaton and company in Stand by Me, but that's not the only place I've heard it. See, I went through a Western phase in high school. I watched them all. The ones I'd seen in reruns as a kid and some I'd never seen before. This conversation reminded me of my favorite, so I looked it up on YouTube. Yep. Still very, very cool.

Loved "The Big Valley", "Alias Smith and Jones","Bonanza", "Rawhide" (young Clint Eastwood as Rowdy Yates and I'll never forget the song either), "Wagon Train" and "Gunsmoke".
"Have Gun, Will Travel" was my Dad's favorite so I saw a lot of them.
