Patrick wasn’t actually gay.
For that matter, neither was David.
Because while Patrick was a little unclear on the distinctions, he was apparently bi (at least historically, probably), and David was pan (forever and always, definitely).
That said, that didn’t really matter, because for the time being, and Patrick hoped for any foreseeable future, they were both monogamous. Boyfriend was the only label that mattered.
Which suited Patrick just fine.
As did David’s grooming habits.
Because while it had been perfectly acceptable when he hadn’t known any better, Patrick was perfectly happy to never kiss a perfectly smooth face again.
