Paul shrugs.

“I don’t see why we can’t play anyway.”

Hugh sighs.

“I told you, we don’t have enough players.”

Paul grins.

“Sure we do. We just have to…”

Hugh cuts him off.

“Paul, we’ve been through this.”

Paul gives Hugh an irritated look.

“But…”

Hugh shakes his head.

“No buts.”

Paul takes a deep breath and makes a placating gesture with his hands.

“Just hear me out on this.”

Hugh scrubs a hand across his forehead, rubs his eyes, then gestures for Paul to continue.

“Go ahead.”

Ten minutes later, he’s playing a three-person game with Paul.
