Sometimes, Paul barely remembered Hugh.

Which was insane, since nearly everything onboard Discovery was a constant reminder of him.

Still, some nights, Paul would roll over and completely forget to stay on his side of the bed.

He’d catch himself then, usually before he started hogging the covers but not always, and rearrange himself to make room for something that wasn’t there.

And each time, he found it harder to remember how to do that.

That’s when Paul took to sleeping with a new companion.

And Ricky, bless him, molded to Paul’s body as perfectly as he had to Hugh’s.
