Apparently, it was a twenty-first century thing.

Hugh had no idea how his mother had ever even heard of it.

But she had. And it had helped him so much through the years.

It comforted him in a way few things could.

For such a simple thing, it was a marvel.

Hugh had taken it with him to the Academy, teasing from other cadets be damned.

It went to every post, too.

So it was odd that he hadn’t used it in years.

But not that odd.

After all, why did he need a weighted blanket when he had Paul?
