Where do I sign? Oh, wait. I don't sign. I bid.  And I soooo don't have enough money for this.  I wonder if I could win the lottery?  Hm...ok, enough of that.  I'm playing. And this is not a playing matter.  (Though the picture on the ebay page really does say 'free shipping' and that cracks me up!)

Anyway, on to the business at hand:  Nathan Fillion, everyone's favorite Firefly captain and crime-fighting novelist, is putting himself on the auction block again. This time, he's helping The Adrienne Shelley Foundation. If you've got the funds, head on over here and contribute to a worthwhile cause.

If I had the money, honey...I'd buy this lunch so fast your head would spin. I'd love to have lunch with the younger Fillion. I have a few questions for the man, and since we have at least one thing in common, I think we could find some things to talk about. Not to mention, I'm quite a fan, and winning this auction would give me some serious bragging rights and an unhealthy amount of squee. But that's not why I'd push the bid to the stars.

No, I'd do that for Adrienne Shelley.

I'd do it for her daughter.

I'd do it to support young women the world over in making films that just might make this planet a better place.

And I'd do it to show common thieves who murder beautiful young women in their homes and then try to make it look like suicide for no reason other than simple robbery that they don't get to win.

And that is all.

Yeah, a serious shame. I know how much you, and many others, think about Waitress. I still need to see it, but hey, at least I know what you're talking about. For other fandoms (and for our boys, making them drool like nuts...) there are also the Kevin Smith movie walk-on roles, and for us there are the VIP Buffett tix to drool over as well. But certainly, hands down, the lunch would be the bomb. So much to discuss with the man, and, as you say, a good cause. We really need to be rich, darlin'.
