“Come on, ‘Nara,” whined Kaylee. “It’ll be fun."
Inara rolled her eyes. Looking up ancient Chinese Zodiac animals didn’t sound like much fun, but she didn’t feel like arguing.
“Fine,” she sighed.
“Who should we start with?” asked Kaylee.
Inara waved dismissively. “It’s your idea. You decide.”
“Let’s do the captain.”
“Be my guest.”
Kaylee punched some keys on Inara’s cortex, and the screen displayed a single word.
Dragon.
Inara stifled a giggle. At Kaylee’s questioning look, she explained.
“Thought for sure he’d be ‘pig’.”
Kaylee’s answer filled Serenity, and it was a long, long time before the laughter stopped.
