Saw Mad Max: Fury Road again tonight. Spoiler alert: it holds up.

And this time, I cried a little at the end. That's how beautiful this movie is for me. Shiny-eyed glory all the way. I sat there for a minute, gathering myself, and then left the theater. I then got into a conversation about how pretty the movie was and how glorious it is with two men in the lobby. It was a short talk, but it went all the way to our cars, which happened to be parked next to one another. On the way home, in said vehicle, I literally yelled out the awesome, because I could; because I saw this movie completely by myself and that meant I was free to do as I chose, without fear of embarrassment or side-eyes.

What a lovely day.

I've seen the movie 4 times and each time I teared up at the end. Also teared up when Furiosa discovered the truth about her home. Also teared up at the end of Nux and the look that Capable gives as she witnesses him.

You know, it's been about 3 weeks since I saw this movie. I think I need to go again!

It's so brutal and honest and wonderful.

I went to see it the other night just because I knew it would soon be out of theaters. It's not showing anywhere right now, but I'm refreshing the $2 theater page daily. *grin*
