Hey, fans.  You normal ones.  You ones who shower every day (even at a con) and respect that there are some lines that are never to be crossed, ever.  Yeah, you.  Come a little closer.  I've got something for you.  It's a little piccie I found today, complete with pawporn (for those who swing that way) and a lovely quote.  Good show, fans.  Good show.

Nathan Fillion (Edmonton, ABC's upcoming drama Castle). Fillion is best known stateside from his season on Desperate Housewives as well as the short-lived Sci-Fi cult series Firefly. Fillion says he still gets shout-outs from Firefly fans. "The thing about my sci-fi fans," he told critics, "is that they're always very polite. They're kind of Canadian in that way."

"They're kind of Canadian in that way."

Wow! That really is a complement! Thank you, Nathan. I've always wanted to be compared to Canadians... No. Really. Stop laughing. It's true!

Resistance is futile. Canada rocks!

I'm fond of saying that everything good comes from Canada, you know...of course that's not true. There are good things from other places. But nothing bad comes from Canada. Really. Let's see...Paul McGillion, Nathan Fillion (my rhyming boys), Michael Shanks, David Hewlett...Rush, Bare Naked Ladies, and don't forget The Arrogant Worms. (I guess we can forgive Celine Dion with that crowd to make up for her.)

So, um...I'm not laughing. Why would I laugh? I live in MAINE!

Well, I guess I was throwing that out there for the general crowd. Some of my RL friends would definitely laugh at that just because it sounds "kinda silly".

I am however laughing at that icon! Canadian Borgs that say "please" and also speak French? Who knew??

Alors, je parle le francais et quelque de mes amis sont Canadien...non, vraiment.

You will never, ever hear the wabbit bad-mouth the land to the North. In fact, I moved to Maine from Texas in part to be closer to the fatherland.

And I've had this icon stored forever. Figured it was time to break it out into the open.

PS-the one and only...THE ARROGANT WORMS!

arrogant worms

(The younger Fillion has a cameo on one of their DVDs, you know. Epic thanks to [livejournal.com profile] lemonpiefirefly for pic.)

Epic welcome ;)

I find it HELLA ironic that I managed to see them in TEXAS.
But DAMN, those guys are great!

Glen's looking into a job in Montreal right now. Not kidding.
He said "it's only 4000 km to Vancouver" ('cept he had the exact distance but...) and I shot right back without checking "But it's only 5 hours to {wabbbit's}!" *teehee!*

Mind you, not likely a realistic possibility, but STILL!

Also Canadian and awesome, Kids in the Hall. (I was so excited to hear them name-dropped in Better Than Neil, ha ha, I've been a fan of theirs forever! And also of Pink Floyd's The Wall, but that's not relevent here.) :)

Fuzzy Peaches and Cherry Blasters, too. (Some day, perhaps, I'll post about the Great Canadian Candy Caper...but not today. I'm planning on repeating it next month, anyway, so...)

Oh, and Tim Horton's, of course.

Hmmm....knew some Ca-nah-dians once....

Not so sure I'd want to be lumped in with that bunch. Little TOO normal for me!

And it's all good.

Mmmm, hands . . .

I can't speak for all the fans, but I'm polite. I'm from North Dakota, we're all polite here . . . because we border Canada!

Indeed. I am not a paw person, but I understand those who are. I am surrounded by them, so I don't fight it.

*beams* Definitely an honour to be mistaken for a Canadian! I was born only a couple hundred miles short of the mark, anyway.

I lived just across the border in Western NY for 2 winters and I really enjoyed watching Canadian TV. And their Olympic coverage is sooooo much better.

Right now I'm watching two Canadians.....Ryan Reynolds (Vancouver) and Nathan Fillion in Two Guys and Girl, Season 3.

I do have a sweet Nathan Fillion Dragon Con story. Several people before me, a little girl (she must have been about 2) was waiting for a picture. Nathan sees her, gets down on her level, opens up his arms and she walks right into them. He jostles her a bit, sweet talking her until every one is in position and holds her up so she's in the middle of the picture. She didn't want to leave his arms. I saw the picture and it was so sweet.

I remember that story, NCB! Still awesome. I have my awesome SDCC story, too (http://jackwabbit.livejournal.com/21941.html).

Sigh...what a guy!

But really, what did you expect from a friend of the Peej?

Oh, and it's ok to admit to PawPorn affiliation. That's the first step in recovery...you're among friends here. We all accept you. Really. Even those of use who are different-just as you accept us.
