To Cassie, the choice was obvious.

Her mom was good with knots, but they weren’t generally pretty.

Sam was just too practical to care about such things.

And Daniel, well, Daniel was just too… Daniel. He’d get frustrated and while that was almost too adorable to stand, Cassie didn’t feel like working the poor man up that much tonight.

So she asked Jack for help, like she always did. Jack, whose military precision made for the prettiest packages you ever did see, complete with bows and ribbon curls that were the envy of every gift wrapper this side of Minnesota.
