Summary: Riker wanted to like it. He really did. But he just…didn’t.

William Riker was outwardly poised, but inwardly nervous as hell.
He tried the calming techniques Deanna had recommended, but they weren’t working.
He knew he could do this, but the nagging voice of self-doubt was persistent.
He sighed, then mentally repeated the question he asked himself constantly.
What would Captain Picard do?
Suddenly, he grinned, then he called out to the replicator.
A moment later, he sipped at a steaming mug.
He gagged right away, then laughed at himself for trying that again.
Because no matter how many times he tried it, Earl Grey just wasn’t his cup of tea.
