At least for today.  I wasn't planning on posting today.  I got all caught up last night.  Honest.  But somehow I have only just now found my way here, and this simply must be shared.  See, many folks are calling Barack Obama the first geek president here in the States, and if that's the case, he needs a cabinet, right?  Sure, he'll have State and Defense and all those other pesky departments squared away out of necessity, but what about his geek points?  How can he be sure he doesn't roll a one while he's busy being President?

Enter the Secretary of Geek Affairs.  That's right.  The Secretary of Geek Affairs.  Chosen by geeks, for geeks.

I'm sad to see Hermione Granger offed in the first round by Carl Sagan, but experience does count for something, I suppose, and I'm beyond thrilled to see Wil Wheaton squeaking into the second round to face his nemesis, Wesley Crusher!

So go cast your vote!  Make your voice heard!   Cast your fates to They Might Be Giants, or revel in the logic of Spock!  Give it up for Weird Al Yankovich or Douglass Adams!   Throw in with Simon Pegg, Kaylee Frye, or Angus MacGyver!  Support Stan Lee, Felicia Day, or Tom Servo and Crow T. Robot!   Rock the vote, people!

Here It Is!  Go.  Vote.  Be Merry.

That would be because your esteemed wabbit didn't put the linkie at first because she's a dumbass. And yeah...this is greatness.

Yeah, Felicia is kicking ass! Ride that wave, girl, ride it all the way to the bank!

I have a bit of angst voting against Winnie Cooper, but there's really only one thing to say; Excelsior!

Good point on the omission, esp of Rodney. I, too, voted for Mac, but it is what it is, right?

It has to be Winnie. I actually saw 2 books on math Dannica McKeller wrote in B & N.

Oh, yeah. She's like a complete math genius. Go her!

But, but, but...she's up against Stan Lee...voice of my childhood, and um...ARG!

There are just too many impossible pairs. I want both to win.

They should have done it like the NCAA pairings, a conference champion against a wimp so that the conference champions meet in the sweet 16 and beyond.

True, but I suppose there are more geeks than colleges, eh?

Perfect example is Wil v Wesley. They really should've been in separate brackets, at least at first. Then again, getting that over with quickly has its merits, too.

Perhaps we could threaten everyone with duct tape?

Based on the feedback from my last drabble, tofu casserole seems to be a threat taken much more seriously.
