jackwabbit: (Doc Horrible-Sarcasm)
[personal profile] jackwabbit
Despite my continuing celebration and the awesomeness of KAZ and Hels that I got on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day itself was horrible for me.  I had a horrible day.  Just horrible.  Absolutely terrible and evil and bad.  Everything was just horrible.  Language ahead!

See, I found out that my long-held suspicion that I'm a 'huge fucking nerd' is true.

Completely confirmed.

I don't have to wonder anymore.

There's something to be said for absolute definition, especially when it comes with the company of others.

It's nice to know that I'm not alone in playing a certain game on my phone, for example.  (And the fact that I started playing it after seeing the younger Fillion's Halloween costume this year means nothing, I tell you!  NOTHING!)

Oh, sorry...got distracted...but really...

I know who I am now, and I know I'm not alone, and it's lovely!  I offer as proof, said game's effect on those like us:

"But instead of solitaire, sinking deep into despair, it reminds us the connection that we share and helps us cope!  NINJA ROPES!"

And isn't that what the holidays are all about?  Connecting with friends and family?

Any of you who do not have the DVD of Dr. Horrible, well, I just want to say that it's worth your money, and it just might help with any holiday blues.

Commentary! The Musical is the funniest thing I've heard in a long, long, long time.

It's funnier than Dr. Horrible itself, and that says a lot.

To quote the one and only Fox Mulder, it says 'a lot a lot'.

So, go do the weird stuff.

Get the DVD.

And listen to the commentary.

You'll be glad you did.

Yours,
A Huge Fucking Nerd (thanks, Joss!)

p.s.-a huge fucking thank you goes out to the hubby, who scored the DVD for me - and didn't fight for use of the TV (gasp!) while I watched it, oh, about four times.  Go him.  Now, if you'll excuse me, I have bean dip to eat.

Yes, I'm commenting on my own thread. Why? Because I just got my own high score on ninja ropes! 67.52! Squee! (You're talking to someone who'd never broken 5 yards before-I stopped playing this game months ago from frustration. But I made a breakthrough! That damn gravity vortex at 25 yards is still a bitch, but I think the key is to play Ninja Ropes while listening to Ninja Ropes! Hee!)

Update 12/29/08-make that 83.44!!! Woot!

The fact that I'm considering an iTouch at all(AT&T's signal is spotty here, so no iPhone for me)means that I'm a Nerd/Geek too.

And I just finished the "Singing Commentary" for the third time!

As my daughter told me when I first saw "Serenity", "Give in to your inner geek."

I hear ya. Hubby has an iPod Touch, we both have iPhones, and I've got two iPods. On my birthday in 2007, I had none of those things. How far I've come! (Or, you know, how sad I am!)

Oh, and tell Kelly she rocks for me-that's great advice!

Off topic - that's strange, I don't have any trouble with my AT&T reception until I get out around Belhaven. I've made phone calls from Chocowinity several times. Maybe different phones have different reception strengths?

I know they do. Hubby used to have a terrible time at our old house, but he got a new phone and everything was shiny. Same service.

I will say that my iPhone is not as good of a phone as some I've had, but I knew that going in. No complaints per se, but reception is better on some others.

Lfoy, I didn't know you were originally from around these parts. I live ion Isabella Ave (just 1 street from the riverfront) in Washington Park if that means anything to you.

I was talking to the AT&T reps in the mall in Raleigh today and they were unsure about reception around here and I tried 2 places.

But you can play ninja ropes at the site.

No, really.

Yes, that is true. It is an equal opportunity game. It does not discriminate those with the Phone of I from those without.

It is a bit easier on puters (mouse), but otherwise the same.

Everyone can get addicted equally.

No, no...there's a zen thing to it. You must have Ninja Ropes song on. I broke my record last night only when song on. Very zen.

Zen like pie.

That's it.

(Really, though...touchpad? Yikes-that would be hard!)
