It's Time to Play the Music...

2011 has been a good year for me and movies. I really liked Captain America. I adored X-Men First Class. Thor was decent, too, and Super 8 was the Spielberg of old. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Part Two, at least) was also very enjoyable. But nothing, (nothing!) so far can best what I saw tonight. For the love of all that you hold holy, do yourselves a favor.
Go see The Muppets.

Date: Nov. 26th, 2011 07:31 am (UTC)I went to an 11 PM showing, and there were twelve people there. A family of six (kids were teens), myself and M, and two other couples. It was wonderful, but to be honest, I'd have loved seeing it in a packed theater, too, as this is a stand up and cheer at the end kind of film. It would have been great to see that, and people only do that in large groups (like the second time I saw Star Trek 2009 and the theater broke out into spontaneous applause and a standing ovation). Honestly, not much could distract me from the wonder of this movie. I loved every bit of it. I literally clapped and shrieked with joy in places, and at others I nearly cried.
I loved it and I'm most likely going to see it again next week. That's all I can say.
