A recent IM conversation between John Scalzi and Wil Wheaton that has since entered the public domain via John's website and Wil's blog contained this little tidbit.  I'm so enamoured of it that I simply must share it.  Not bad advice, if you ask me.  Not bad at all.

Me: You’re your own Expansion Pack, Wil. Live that dream.

Wil: I’m doing it, John. I’m really doing it. 

"You're gonna be a great writer someday, Gordie."

Oh, totally.

I've been reading Wil's blog for about five years now, I think, and it's rare that it doesn't completely entertain me.

I've read his books (and just ordered the one in the link above-since I hadn't ordered the regular version yet because I'm poor right now) and truly appreciate his journey.

I can only hope to find myself the way he has.

Not to mention, I respect any man (ANY man) who cares for another man's children as his own. That, my friends, is the greatest love in the world.
