Dude, I am soooo following the pattern. I wrote a ton to start (thankfully, for me, a ton is really a ton), then sputtered, then stopped. Then I cheated, as they say (got an e-mail this AM that said things like: 'you're thinking of writing that new, shiny story you just thought of, aren't you?' and the like). I tried to deny it, but I was weak.

I wrote fic.

Lots of it.

And I came up with an idea for a new book for real.

Yeah...it's like that.

Then I did the Dr. Wicked thing tonight just to write some sections I knew would need written (to the tune of 1732 words in 40 minutes-2 20 minute sessions-yeah, when the thing is mean to you, you type, dammit!), and young David stepped up the the plate as that missing character I needed!

Hoo-ray David!
