His first album was released in 1977.  He's sung more back up than most, and I can guarantee you've heard his guitar somewhere.  He joined Jimmy Buffett's Coral Reefer Band in 1994 yet still maintains an admirable solo career.  He's written tons of songs that you've never heard his name spoken with, and he's got a hell of a classic country voice.  To quote one of his songs:

"It's my job, to be better than the best, and that makes the day for me."

Well, Mac, you are one of the best in your field, and the CMA has finally decided to agree with those of us who've loved you for a while.  Enjoy your day in the sun, friend.  You truly are a piece of work, and we love you for it.

No problems, and thank you for filling in my pic caption blanks. I knew SGH and AB were there, and I had them named originally, but then suddenly thought I had them switched, and as for the boys, well...I was clueless. *grin*
