Birds of a Feather
May. 9th, 2010 12:31 amSo, I went to see Ironman 2 tonight (damn enjoyable, but 1>2, as per usual). As I was leaving the theater (stay til the end, folks!), I heard a guy describing The Avengers to someone. I looked at the source of the voice. It was a thirty-something guy talking to a buddy in a Green Lantern shirt. (Thus the explanation - he's obviously a DC guy.) I loved that. But even better was their friend, who was modeling a G.I. Joe t-shirt. I caught his eye and gave him a quiet "nice shirt" on my way by. He nodded and mouthed a "thanks." Ah, so nice to be amongst one's own. Peace. Love. Fandom.

This Marvel fangirl is squeeing like crazy over the way they are bringing the movies together the way they did/do the comics. It's a huge undertaking, and I know a lot of people won't "get it," but it's very, well, comic-like. I'm concerned they are trying to do too much too fast, but so far they have maintained the integrity of the Avengers line, so I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. I'm extremely tickled that they introduced Cap's shield, too. I mean, Tony Stark and that shield go waaaay back, so...yeah.

Date: May. 12th, 2010 12:21 am (UTC)I love Thor. Though I admittedly love Loki more. I only have a few issues of Thor, but I always liked it.
Oh, and way to spoil, there, T. I was trying to not do that! *g* But yes, it was obviously Mjolnir.
