Star Wars Meme, Day Eleven
Jan. 30th, 2013 04:15 am11 - Best Scene: The Phantom Menace
I honestly don't remember a damn thing about this movie. I think I've seen it three times (twice in the theater and once when I bought it on VHS because Lucas was all "I'm not going to give into pressure and switch to DVD") but it's a complete blank. A specific scene? Um...yeah. I got nothing. Wait! R2-D2 was introduced. That had to be cool, right? I don't remember how that happened, but I know it happened. And there were grappling hooks at one point, which caused me to grin from ear to ear and look over at Ian, who had the same expression on his face. That had been one of the things we wanted to see. Oh, and the intro music. Every time I hear that in a theater, it's cool. But something specific? Dude. It's been fourteen years since I've seen this movie, and it's entirely forgettable, so I've got nothing.
EDIT: No, that's not entirely true. I remembered something. The Phantom Menace is 100% responsible for me learning/perfecting the butterfly kick and learning more soft-style Kung Fu, so I'll go with Ray Park's remarkable fight scene in the hangar. Plus, that double-bladed lightsaber was pretty cool.
( The questions... )
