Cliché
Fandom: Farscape
Rated: PG
Category: Drabble, John POV. John/Aeryn friendship or much more. Take it as you will.
Season: Early Two.
Spoilers: None per se, though I had a line from “Picture If You Will” in mind when I wrote this.
Summary: Just because something’s cliché doesn’t make it untrue.
Note: Merry Christmas to [livejournal.com profile] taj_mahal07  and [livejournal.com profile] bluesolis42 , who reminded me that I never watched Farscape. My bad. Also? Thank you both for your friendship and the endless amusement you bring to my days.

---

There are no days on a starship.

Sure, Moya cycles the lights so it sorta seems like there’s days, but there’s not.

Not really.

And without days, there’s no weeks, months, or years.

It’s easy to lose track of time.

Still, I know it’s Christmas on Earth.

Don’t ask me why, but I keep up with such things.

Of course, no one here knows to ask me what I want.

That frustrates me. Not because that’s their fault, but because for once I can actually answer.

It’s cliché, but it’s true.

I only want one thing to open up.

Aeryn.

PS-I will say this, too, though. I often finish an ep of Farscape and say "huh." In a good way. It makes me react, and that is pretty rare. It's a good show.

Yes, yes with the "huh". A few times I just have to take a moment and try to process what I've just seen. This is a good thing!

Yes, it is. It's a thoughtful "huh" or a "did they just do that?"

It is a very good thing.
