Cassandra Fraiser pushed a videotape into Teal’c’s VCR. As she started to push the “play” button, however, a deep voice stopped her.
“I do not wish to watch this,” said Teal’c, holding up the tape’s case.
“Oh, come on, give it a chance,” said Cassie.
“It is for children.”
“Some people say that about Star Wars!” challenged Cassie.
Teal’c raised an eyebrow and answered plainly. “They are wrong.”
“Well, you might be wrong about this one!” argued Cassie. “Besides, it’s by the same guy!”
“It is not,” replied Teal’c. “The two directors are similar, but they are not the same.”
“Alright, fine! Then watch it for me. Please? It’s my favorite.”
Cassie gave Teal’c a pleading look, and the Jaffa sighed. “As you wish.”
Cassie giggled and hit play. Teal’c groaned and sat beside her on the couch. He already regretted this last-minute babysitting gig, but he played along.
Two hours later, Cassie was fast asleep. Her head was wedged into a corner of the couch, but Teal’c didn’t notice this until after the credits had rolled.
When he did, he was grateful Cassie was sleeping.
After all, it simply wouldn’t do for her to see him cry over E.T.

A/N-Kudos to anyone who knows exactly why this story features a tape and not a DVD, besides the fact that it is quite likely that Cassie wouldn’t have had a DVD player in her early years.

We have a winner! Got it in one!
I wrote it that way quite intentionally, then checked my history. Based on her age and such, Cass would've had a VCR at first, but um... I haven't replaced my copy of E.T. Not gonna, either.
