The End!

Only it's not. Unlike last year when I reached 50K, this story is not done. It's nearly done, but not quite. And of course it needs serious editing. In order to make myself do just that and to end the suspense, I'll let you in on a little secret. Part of my editing will involve research into the power source for the Stargate. After all, how could MacGyver fix it if I don't know exactly how it's broken? Just sayin.

I sincerely doubt it. I've become very choosy over whose fics I'll offer to edit these days, but I have no reservations when it comes to your writing. Except that I want to reserve an opening night ticket for the premiere, as it were.

Congratulations! That's what I did my first year, too--finished the 50K but not the story. Never did get around to it, either. Probably just as well, I suspect it was heartrendingly awful.

Thanks! My first year was last year, and I finished on Nov 17. I wrote original fiction that I think has some merit but that I still haven't messed with. I'm actually feeling a bit inspired to do that now. This year, I did the more steady approach, and I wrote fanfic. I believe this will see the light of day, but it will be a good long while. It's a fic I've been meaning to write for ages, but kept putting off because I knew it would be long and I don't like to write long fics. So...we'll see.
