Yeah, I almost put something like that in the original post, but I let it go. It's like those clients of mine who come in for housebreaking advice and then say things like "but he doesn't like that" and "but he cries" and "I can't do that because blank, blank, and/or blank." I just want to shake them and say "be an owner, you fucking moron!" I shudder to think that some of those same people are parents. I truly think that most just fall for the puppydog cuteness and are better with their human charges, but I think some are truly that idiotic/permissive in general, and it terrifies me.

Incidentally, those are my hardest clients, and it's all I can do not to just say "SO?" in a super sarcastic voice at the "but he doesn't like it" comments. And I must bite my tongue seriously at the "I can't" phenomenon. Didn't your parents ever tell you can't ain't a word? Grr...ARGH!
