All that said, that first disc of "here...you should watch this" Stargate SG-1 sat for MONTHS before I picked it up out of boredom one day.

And we all know how that turned out.

One day, when the stars align just so, Doctor Who might happen in the same way. You never know. I won't discount anything. I mean, SG-1 looked about as appealing as eating cactus spines. Doctor Who looks far better but is far more overwhelming.

Tell you what. I take it back. You pick one disc, or episode, or whatever...and if I ever end up at your place, I'll give it a shot. As long as it's dark out. I can think of no better way than that to break my Doctor Who cherry.

Just pick well, because that's the stickler with Who and me. Since there is so much, how does one go about watching it? Where does one start? Most folks I know say their Doctor is Tom Baker, but...

Anyway...have to go work on my NaNo now. These comments are some serious word counts already!
