“You don’t get to be as old as I am without learning a few tricks, Will.”
“Still… you had no knowledge of this world… of this enemy. It was no small feat to manage.”
“But here I am.”

“So, you’ve accepted me as me now?”
“No one but Helen Magnus would be crazy enough to treat that girl or have brains enough to charge this computer with a car battery.”
“Not true, Will. I must confess that I cannot take all the credit for my skills. I had several good teachers. You know… you remind me of one of them, with your hair like that.”
“I do?”
“Yes. You really do bear quite the resemblance.”
“And who was this illustrious learned man?”
“A young friend… I still visit with him from time to time… or rather, I did…”
“This guy have a name? Maybe we can look him up. You never know. He might still be around.”
“Yes. Yes, that’s a good idea. If anyone could make it through this, it’s him.”
“So… his name, Magnus?”
“Oh, right… it’s MacGyver. Angus MacGyver.”

I might have come up with this idea on my own as I watched the ep (I only saw it a few days ago and I did think this one up as I watched Magnus strap that knife on the pole to make a bayonet), but while I had the idea then, it didn't solidify until I remembered your Mullet!Will tweet. And the rest, as they say, is history.
