Also? You figure prominently in a recent contest entry over on Scalzi's blog. Said entry won said contest, and it was written by a dear friend of mine.
Here it is, if you're interested.

Date: Oct. 17th, 2009 04:13 am (UTC)I've heard from AMCtv.com, and just sent them my mailing address. When the DVDs arrive, you and Becky and Lothi and everyone should just come over to my place for a DVD-watching party. Ya think?

"...and their font is "Albertus", the same font that was used on my favorite tv show of all time, The Prisoner. Matter of fact, it was my fanatical love of The Prisoner that allowed me to understand why anyone would want to wear a spacesuit and go to a convention. Because I used to have a lame little Number 6 pin, and I would wear it to game cons, back in the day..."
Amended-this post is often rehashed in future writings, like Just A Geek, so it is well-known to most Wheatonites. It feels like home to most of us, whether we were there then or not. I must confess to this being a tiny bit the case for me. I discovered WWdN in 2002, but it wasn't so huge then, and I went back and read the entire thing THAT DAY. Been there ever since. Sigh...home.
(Thanks random chatter on startrek.com who pointed me there! I still remember chatting up Nemesis with you before it came out and getting props for my madcap Undiscovered Country quote skillz!)
