The Hewletts Are Sparky Fans!
Jul. 7th, 2009 07:00 pmAnd here we have a picture from the July 4th Point Robert's Parade (gakked from The Eclectic Fan here on LJ, who seems to have covered the event rather well) that I found beyond amusing. Turns out David and Jane are Sparky fans! (That's David dressed up like Shep (complete with black wristband, you know!) and Jane cosplaying Weir! This brings a whole new level to fantasy...and I'm stopping now.)

Thanks to David for playing along and for tweeting the above link to let the world know of the fun!

Date: Jul. 8th, 2009 03:45 am (UTC)Actually, I don't ship much for SGA, but the only thing I ship much at all is Sheppard/Weir, or the infamous Sparky. Then again, Daniel/Weir is the hottest thing I can think of, so...you know me, the multi-shipper of doom!

Do you HEAR my hubby laughing like a maniac and saying, "I TOLD YOU SO!"
(Very very cute of Dave and Jane though!) LOL

Date: Jul. 10th, 2009 03:21 am (UTC)I think my hubby was dropped on his head as a small child. *shakes head in sympathy* It certainly would explain a lot.

Date: Jul. 10th, 2009 03:37 am (UTC)I giggled maniacally at that article you sent. OH LORD, if the networks would only figure this stuff out! I've been a Sci Fi addict since shortly after I came out of the womb. My darling wonderful older brother made sure of that. Luke Skywalker ruined me for all other men by the time I was 3, and I will not be ashamed of watching more "BOY" movies than my four Manlings AND my husband.
If I'm being completely honest about it, I think I prefer science fiction because most shows/movies/books assume that the viewer is a "brigher species of human." We fans don't bat an eye at quantum physics and the problems with wormhole travel--in fact we debate the holes in the logic if we see it! A good science fiction story can be like advanced physics class for those of us who couldn't actually sit through that class.
I'm rambling. Yeesh. No wonder. The clock says my body's probably been asleep for the last two hours. *YAWN*

....and Todd. *pretends to be very interested in a piece of lint*
