You know...I've been very careful what I say here...because everyone knows I'm Pauley's girl. But...whilst I ADORE Simon (Have you seen Spaced? How could you not adore Simon?), and while I've read his explanation of the accent several times and while I don't think he did anything bad, he was a weak Scotty IMHO.
Part of that is likely just that we didn't get to see him much, and part of that is because the other characters were so perfectly cast that having one who wasn't stuck out, but...Simon, it hurts me to say this...you know how much I love you...but...not the best choice.
I'd like to say Pauley would have been a better choice, but having not seen it, we'll never know.
I just know Simon wasn't quite doing it for me.
