I thought I'd add a footnote to jackwabbit's excellent summation, that he was the preferred choice of James Doohan's son for the role of Scotty after the auditions, which I think was so cool. All we of the Stargate camp were cheering desperately for him, despite Mr. Pegg's more prominent popularity. ;-)
