Ilya had said it again.
The one word that had haunted him for so long, even before it ruined everything.
And it hadn’t been an accident this time.
He’d said it very much on purpose.
And so far, things seemed ok.
But he couldn’t be sure.
And that old, familiar fear was back, coiling deep in his stomach.
He wanted someone (no, not someone – Shane – and there was that fucking word again) to tell him it was ok. That they were ok.
To that end, he started to text countless times.
But he never sent anything.
He also never slept.
