-----

Patrick had been a model child.

A great student, a talented athlete, popular, and hardly ever in any trouble.

Sure, he’d smoked a few cigarettes and stayed out too late a few times in his youth, but wasn’t that expected for an average teenager?

And that was just it.

He’d always done what was expected of him.

Up to and including Rachel.

Until he didn’t.

Until he met David.

And now that he’d walked on the metaphorical wild side, he didn’t want to leave.

Because if this was what being different felt like, he never wanted to fit in again.
