Nor do they ever so much as poke their head in at a convention. So many of the conventions have entire panels hosted by sci-fi writers. Some conventions are *entirely* sci-fi book-driven. All it would take would be poking their frakking head in to see the large numbers of girls and women in the frelling room; people who are not only "interested", but "fans", and on top of that fans who are really into it and pay money to purchase their products (books) and oftimes travel, purchase other works, etc. If they're (these publishers/ retailers) even *just* in it for the money, they're mismanaging themselves toward a major EPIC FAIL.
