Summary: Leia doesn’t know how to feel most of the time. Now is now most of the time.
-----
Before, it was only the rebellion.
Now, it's the rebellion - plus them.
That's how much a part of her life they've become, even if she doesn't know exactly how that happened or precisely what they are to her.
That bothers her, though she'd never admit it. Especially not to either of them.
But she likes things neat and tidy. Everything (and everyone) fitting into nice, little boxes. And they do nothing of the sort. She can't categorize them. Force knows she's tried. She's tried to tuck them away where they belong. A place for everything and everyone in their place. But she can't do it.
Luke seems almost like a brother, but almost is the very odd key word.
And Han? She has no kriffing idea how she feels about Han.
Not that that surprises her. These days, she has no idea how to feel about most things most of the time.
But now is not most of the time.
Now, as the doors close on her last glimpse of swirling whiteness and Chewbacca's roar fills the hangar, she knows exactly how she feels.
The rebellion alone is not enough.
Not anymore.
And she cannot bear to lose them both.
