From the Whedonesque thread on the Geek Affairs race:

zeitgeist : Joss is a geek icon and a story/literary/film/musical theatre, Wil is a dyed-in-the-wool geek in more traditional senses.

Hunted : Is Joss a geek? I've never thought that. Hm...However Wil clearly IS, he built his own website. He used to (may still be doing for all i know) write his own html in notepad to update the site. He does weird and wonderful things with computers that I doubt Joss could (and he's on twitter!) - so I think Wil clearly is the bigger geek.

madmolly : When I think of geek, I think of Wil. When I think of Master, I think of Joss.

spooforbrains : Don't mean to be nitpicky, but the tag is incorrect. Wil only has one "l". And while Joss is my master, Wil is far and away the more geeky. And he understands issues that are important to his fellow geeks, like why DRM is very very bad. That sort of thing is not even on Joss's radar. So I know who my vote goes with.

Oh, spooforbrains...I think I love you.  After all, everyone knows Brent Spiner took the other "l".

I must also say I vote spooforbrains for Assistant to the office of Sec'y Geek Affairs.
Gotta say, Wil is tied into the geek root much better. You know, the trials and tribble-ations of the workaday geek.
I love Joss, but, you know...not *that* grounded, I'm thinkin' ;)

Undersecretary spoo. I like it!

Agreed on your logic. It is most logical. Plus, Wil plays hockey.
