Okay, here are my tallies (and I’m posting this comment to Lothi and wabbit as well):
I’ve seen 48 of the movies – 49 if I’m allowed to count the original animated verion of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”, as opposed to that recent abortion. Of that list, only 36 were by my own choice (the rest were the choice of a significant other or offspring), but there’s only one where I reallywish I could get that back that piece of my life, and those brain cells.
More intriguing to me: on that list, there are 20 items where I have read the original book or story. In ten cases, I have read the book but I have not seen the film.
What’s your count for reading? I didn’t count comic books, or movies that were subsequently novelised (such as Star Wars), only movies in which the book, as a separate work, came first.
