So, there's a new interview with Pauly over on GateWorld. I read it, and this truly stuck out for me:

“I’ve never met any of the Stargate Universe cast. Honestly, only saw a part of one episode, and they were all covered in hazmat suits out in the ice. I couldn’t get a really good vibe for it."

Ahem. That is all.

Granted, Pauly being Pauly, he goes on to wish them well with SGU, but yeah... that about sums it up.

(And I realize Paul was saying that he just didn't get a feel for the show after only a brief glimpse, but since that's how I feel having seen every episode, it was just too perfect a quote to pass up.)

It seems SGU returns April 2 and since I saw a flash of Daniel Jackson in a preview and since SCI-FI (not SyFy, you hosers) is apparently going to air Merlin alongside it and I'm interested in that little BBC show, I think I'll give SGU the full first season to make up my mind on it, but... um... yeah. Pauly's got it right.

Fun!

Okay, so I ran across this on Twitter just before the Can-Am. I loved the idea so very much that I wanted to jump on the bandwagon right away, but alas, I did not take the time just then. But I didn't forget! Behold! My contribution to One Million Giraffes!

Yes, that's a giraffe. It would have more red but I simply didn't want to take apart my space station. (As my space station is on Mars, it needs to be red for concealment, so changing blocks out simply wouldn't do, you know.) As for why she's wearing blue shoes, you'll have to talk to her endorsements agent. I heard something about a new contract.

As for why Sarge, the yellow guy with the red helmet, is riding this giraffe while waving a Jolly Roger attached to a battle axe and hanging out with a monkey? Dude. I've got nothin. You'll have to ask him. Be careful, though. He's a crusty old bastard. He hasn't been the same since he got run over with the lawn mower about twenty-five years ago.

And yes, that's too true for poor Sarge. He was gravely injured and then spent months as a POW in the deep jungle of the front yard. I can see why he has issues. Seriously, though, I built this "giraffe" from what blocks I could find, and I didn't plan anything. I simply opened the Care Bears suitcase that houses my LEGOs, moved aside the plastic baggies of spaceship parts and wheels and tools and people (the specialty pieces have all been sorted since I was about ten, you know), then rummaged around in the basic bricks underneath until I came up with this. That was a lot of fun. I hadn't done that in a while. I can whip up a space station in no time flat and have about three different designs that work well, but this? Random building of something nuts? It's been far, far too long since I've done that. Thanks, One Million Giraffes!

Oh, and if you're wondering, LEGOs float. I'd forgotten that little tidbit of useful info... just sayin. And if you're wondering if that's a LEGO Jack O'Neill and Daniel Jackson that my hubby and I created to play with in Star Wars LEGO in my icon, wonder no more. Because yes. Yes, it is.

(the jack is silent)
