It's Khaki Day
Nov. 15th, 2009 01:26 pmAnd while I didn't watch his show much and poked as much fun at that crazy Aussie as anyone, I also respected Steve Irwin greatly. I applauded his efforts to make this world a better place for some who are not too much favored in the eyes of the world, and when I found out (in the Detroit airport of all places) about his death, I was both saddened and immensely gratified that he got to go instantly while doing what he loved. Somehow, I doubt there wasn't a smile on his face, and I think maybe he wasn't so crazy after all. Here's to you, Steve Irwin. One more CRIKEY from me to you.
