Longest Show of the Year So Far!
Jun. 29th, 2009 11:48 pmAt 62 years young, Jimmy Buffett turned in the longest show of this year's tour on Saturday night.
30 songs, 2:35 of singing time. Not too shabby for a young'un.
Highlights for me included an opening rendition of Lage Nom Ai, Manana in the first half, My Head Hurts, My Feet Stink, And I Don't Love Jesus in the second half, and hearing a debut of a brand new song, Nobody from Nowhere. Not sure how I feel about said song yet, but being the first to hear it was cool. Also, hearing Jake Shimabukuro live on the uke - awesome! And hearing Last Mango in Paris live for the first time since Captain Tony died...wept like a baby. Ain't no shame in that, phriends. Here's to you, Tony (and Tim, too...).
I've seen Jimmy in stadium shows for the past few years, and it felt good to be back in an old school music venue...sigh...

Thanks to gunthermoose for this one! Nice seats, matey!
