Yup, that's what I got too... I suspect a lot of 'Gaters are the same way, just from the tone of the fic. I wonder why Gatedom attracts that particular type of person?

Oh, I don't think all Gate fans are this way at all. I think every kind of fic (and fan) exists in Gatedom, just as in every other fandom. We all gravitate towards those of similar types, though, so our experience becomes clouded a bit and we tend to forget about the other types of fans/fic out there, but it's out there. It takes all kinds.

I hate kidfic with a burning passion, for example, but others love it. Whatever.
