As a women who has been in not one but two abusive situations I can totally understand what he is talking about. Views have to change, the police response to calls of domestic volience must change. The first time, I didn't call the police, I just left, the second time my roommate called the police and the ambulance, and even though he had broken my jaw and 5 ribs I was told that he was "just blowing off steam" Granted that was almost 30 years ago and hopefully things have changed for women, but until all domestic violence is taken seriously we need men like Patrick Stewart to speak out.
