Sweet Sixteen

Well, folks, here we have it!  The Secretary for Geek Affairs race is down to sixteen candidates.  Every one of them is extremely qualified, but it's time to make the tough choices.  The first round of eight pits Kaylee Frye against Steve Jobs and Simon Pegg against Randall Munroe in the Do'Urden region while John Hodgman takes on They Might Be Giants and Gabe & Tycho from Penny Arcade square off against Douglas Adams in the Bombadil region!  Things are really heating up!  Be sure to make your voice heard!  Vote here!

UPDATE: Kaylee, Simon, Hodgman, and Penny Arcade squeak through to the round of eight!  Voting opens soon for Wheaton v. Hawking, Wozniak v. Belmont, Coulton v. Whedon, and Lee v. Day!  Stay tuned for more!

I was sooo jazzed to see Kaylee kick Steve Job's ass. But what's going to happen if she ends up pitted against Joss Whedon? Think about it!

In baseball, ties always go to the runner.

In hide and seek, wolf takes first charge.

So, in this, I've got to go with the creator.

Very likely. But if it happens, I can only envision Joss Whedon being delighted at the way it all turned out! FWIW, I hope they do end up head-to-head!

Fully agreed on that -- I know who I hope ends up as the final winner. In the meanwhile, the potentials for local drama are very entertaining.

I don't know what you're talking about...I was just kidding. I don't have a candidate of choice...what was I saying? *g*

On another note, Felicia Day just twittered about this. Yeah, that round is going to be tough. I love Felicia, but, um, I'm a true believer, man.

Excelsior!
