Snatched from Cleo ages ago...

So, completely unbeknownst to me, my father made it to state #49 for him last week with a trip to Hawaii (he's now only missing South Carolina, of all places!), so I was curious and I finally did this thing for my own information. I'm not doing too badly here in the states!

But on the world stage, oh, I have travel to do:

Aw, well, he really should get to South Carolina it really is a lovely state. (especially the coast.)
But that is quite a collection there you've got for yourself. I just find it hard to believe you've never been to California. Another great place to visit.

Oh, my feet have touched California, but I've never visited. It's just very far away for me. But I'll make it one day. I'd like to go to ComiCon eventually, and then there's the Channel Islands, Yosemite, Death Valley, and Redwood National Parks-just to start. It's a big state, though, so when I go I'll go for a long time so I can drive up the coast and do all the things that I want to do there. Hell, given enough time, I'd rent a car in San Diego and stop in Anchorage. Speaking of colder climes reminds me...my feet probably didn't touch California, only my skis. I skied a resort that was right on the border, and I went down the CA side of the mountain a few times. But that so doesn't count. Counts for NV, since that's where I stayed, but not CA.

If I counted only briefly hitting the ground in some fashion, I could add Utah and California, but my standards are higher than that.

Well, why the heck haven't you made it to Washington yet? Fer shame!

One of my ongoing dreams is to drive 101 right down the West Coast. Someday . . . I've hit most of it, off and on, but never the entire thing.

Funny, I'd like to do the same on 1.

Perhaps we should carpool? You can come here and we'll head down to Key West. Then I can head there and we'll head to Tiajuana! (I realize 101 ends before that, but what the hell!)

Maybe I'll drive up the East coast and hit those 2 pesky little states and I'd like to do more of flyover country, also known as the great American mid west.

I didn't do the world one because Spain would be the only one in red, but if I did my bucket list countries, most of the countries of the world would be in red. The only thing that keeps me from it is thmoney. I got the time.

Well, come on up, you silly head!

As for flyover country, I've actually set foot in Utah, but I don't count visits as visits if you only touch the ground in the airport. I had a layover in Salt Lake City once. I was uber sick that day and the plane had to be de-iced and all that. Good times.

(If I counted airports, dude, I'm in Detroit all the time, so MI is covered!)

And ditto on the world stage, though time is a bit pressing for me, too, as if I don't work I don't get paid and well...yeah. Damn those things!
